Ones To Watch is the first FUT promo in FIFA 23. We don’t want you to be left behind on launch day, so we’ve prepared a neat little guide on how Ones To Watch items function in FIFA 23 and which players will receive such a FUT item.

FIFA 23 is currently in early access, but it will become available to all who have purchased it on Sept. 30. That same day marks the official start of the FUT season. The highlight on day one will be Ones To Watch items.

What are Ones To Watch items and how will they work in FIFA 23?

Ones To Watch is traditionally the first FUT promo in each new FIFA cycle. The items are given only to players who have switched clubs over the summer. The most important part about OTW cards is that they are dynamic and can be upgraded over the course of the season.

OTW upgrades work a little differently this year but in a good way. The classic upgrade road is back and the OTW cards will receive a stat boost each time the player is awarded a TOTW or MOTM item.

The second and third upgrade paths are tied to team success. At a club level, for an OTW player to get upgraded, his team needs to win three of its next eight matches, beginning on Sept. 30.

This final fresh upgrade mechanic will keep owners of Ones To Watch cards in FIFA 23 engaged throughout the FIFA World Cup. Their cards could get upgraded if the player’s national team wins a game at the tournament.

Both team-related upgrades are one-offs and activate regardless of if the player played in those matches. The World Cup upgrade doesn’t even need the player to be a part of his national squad to take effect. If his nation wins, you benefit no matter what.

All confirmed Ones To Watch cards in FIFA 23

EA opened the Ones To Watch promo campaign by revealing four Premier League stars: Erling Haaland, Raheem Sterling, Richarlison, and Darwin Núñez. Since that day, there’s been speculation on who will join them. There were plenty of big transfers this summer, so it’s not like EA doesn’t have material to choose from.

The latest information we managed to get from EA confirms some of the often mentioned names. Barcelona’s new star striker Robert Lewandowski will headline the Ones To Watch roster and is likely to be the only 90+ rated card in the promo.

Champions League holders Real Madrid were expected to make an appearance through Antonio Rüdiger, and they do. But in somewhat of a surprise, Aurélien Tchouaméni will receive an OTW item too.

Bayern München is in a similar boat. Fans would have been rightfully annoyed if Sadio Mané was not given a card. They don’t need to worry, though. Sané is here and they will get Matthijs De Ligt as a bonus.

Here are all of the confirmed Ones To Watch items so far. You will surely notice that some players don’t have ratings next to their names. Don’t be alarmed by that. These cards are still coming, but EA is holding back on announcing their ratings until the official announcement on Sept 30. We will update this list with all of the ratings once they are revealed.

Christian Pulisic, Fred, Eden Hazard: Players who are better for their country than their club

Sometimes, for whatever reason, a player just looks more comfortable playing for their national team than their club.

Yes, they may only get a handful of games a year, compared to the never-ending cycle of club football, but the national team can offer a change in style, formation and teammates that can have a positive impact on some.

With the 2022 World Cup on the horizon, there may be concerns that a lack of playing time or comfort in a club side could impact a player's chances of impressing in Qatar. But fear not, for these six players, the likelihood is that they will perform better when donning the national team jersey.

Having looked so bright in his early days at Chelsea -- he scored nine goals during his debut season in the Premier League -- the development of the USMNT captain has somewhat stagnated as far his club career is concerned. After being largely ignored by Thomas Tuchel last season -- he never got a prolonged spell in his favoured role on the left side of midfield -- the arrival of new manager Graham Potter could prove to be either a fresh start or the beginning of the end for his Chelsea career.

For his country, however, Pulisic has continuously performed well (he has 21 goals and 12 assists from 51 games, though some always expect more), with a hat trick against Panama in March being his recent finest hour. His club form so far this season does raises some concerns -- he's still to feature beyond an hour in any competition -- but he should still retain his place as the U.S. team's leader for the World Cup.

Despite never having made himself indispensable at Manchester United, Fred is still an integral part of Tite's Brazil midfield. Now in his fifth Premier League season, with over 100 games to his name, the left-footed defensive midfielder has rarely shown consistent runs of form beyond the occasional spark of his indisputable talent. Often looking uncomfortable or one-dimensional in possession and hesitant in his pressing game at club level, the 29-year-old appears to play with more confidence for Brazil.

Usually deployed in a sitting role alongside new club teammate Casemiro, Fred tends to stick to a simpler brief on international duty -- generally creating a stable, balancing presence with the licence to sporadically roam forward. While never short of effort, he sometimes seems to run out of ideas when receiving the ball for United (though he did show signs of improving his attacking contribution during the second part of the last campaign), whereas he prospers from a more clear-cut role for his country.

Even through his periods without scoring for Chelsea, Werner kept turning up for Germany. Though never lacking in movement, application and energy, Werner's consistency in front of goal came under scrutiny during his ill-fated spell in London, finding the net only 10 times from 56 league outings. For Germany, however, his goal-scoring record stacks up against some of the top players internationally, with 24 from 53 appearances.

After moving back to the Bundesliga to rejoin RB Leipzig for €30 million in the summer, Werner has rather mysteriously struggled to convert chances at club level; his current tally stands at just one goal from six league appearances (though he did net a hat trick in a DFB-Pokal game.) Being predominantly a movement-based forward who thrives on space, there's no surprise that his Chelsea coaches were tempted to play him in a wide role (hence further away from goal), but in the Germany team he generally slots in at centre-forward where he is their most consistent goal threat.

Though his minute count for Real Madrid -- currently standing at 98 from three games -- seems to be dwindling by the month, the former Chelsea forward is still on course to play an important role for Belgium at the World Cup. In fact, Belgium head coach Roberto Martinez appears happy with fielding Hazard as one of two No. 10s -- along with Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne -- and, despite his injury issues, even played him continuously when games have been coming thick and fast (he featured in all Belgium's four Nations League fixtures in June.)

In spite of being used sparingly at club level, Hazard (who has 33 goals from 120 international appearances to his name) recently proved decisive for Real Madrid when his second-half inclusion against Celtic resulted in a goal and an assist for the European champions. His creativity, experience and quality on the ball may still turn out to be a determining factor for Belgium in Qatar.

Not only has Depay kept up his excellent form for Netherlands amid a period of personal uncertainty at Barcelona, he's arguably been his nation's top performer during the entire World Cup qualifying campaign. With nine goals from as many games, Depay's contribution helped to secure a World Cup ticket for Netherlands, and he was inspirational in the Nations League in June too.

Depay may have recently regained some confidence from Barca boss Xavi following the end of a transfer window where he opted to stay at Camp Nou despite multiple offers elsewhere, but given the club's public willingness to let him go in the summer, it appears that the majority of his playing time is going to come from his country. As the sole player in the Dutch squad whose goal tally has reached double figures (a respectable 42 from 80 games), his experience and skill up front will be key to their hopes.

Previously one of the most productive midfielders in Serie A with Udinese (34 goals and 36 assists in 184 games), De Paul has grabbed fewer headlines after his €35m move to Atletico Madrid in 2021. While still showcasing a fine mix of craft and creativity, he's yet to find a regular slot this season with one goal and assist from eight games.

However, De Paul's starting spot for Argentina does not seem to be in question (despite a court battle with his ex-wife complicating matters, as individuals entangled in legal controversies may be refused entry to Qatar.) From a more advanced central midfield role in the Argentina set-up, he has the freedom to make his trademark runs into space and venture into goal-scoring positions.

Hasil BRI Liga 1: Ciro Alves On Fire, Persib Bandung Lumat Barito Putra 5-2

Persib Bandung memetik kemenangan besar di pekan ke-10 BRI Liga 1 2022/2023. Berhadapan dengan Barito Putera, Maung Bandung menang dengan skor telak 5-2.

Gol-gol kemenangan Persib dicetak oleh brace Ciro Alves dan masing-masing satu gol dari David Da Silva, Nick Kuipers dan Henhen Herdiana. Sementara Barito mampu membalas melalui gol Buyung Ismu dan Kahar Muzakkar.

Bermain di kandang sendiri, Persib Bandung langsung tancap gas sejak awal. Baru lima menit laga berjalan, David Da Silva berhasil membuka keunggulan, memanfaatkan umpan silang Henhen Herdiana yang salah diantisipasi barisan pertahanan Barito. Skor berubah menjadi 1-0 untuk keunggulan Persib.

Gol David da Silva ini membuat Persib semakin bersemangat untuk menyerang. Barito Putera juga mencoba untuk memberikan perlanwanan.

Di menit ke-30 Persib sukses menggandakan keunggulan. Berawal dari pergerakan Rachmat Irianto di sisi kanan, ia melepaskan umpan akurat kepada Ciro yang menembak bola. Tembakan pertamanya mengenai barisan pertahanan Barito, namun bola muntah berhasil ia ceploskan ke gawang. Skor berubah menjadi 2-0 untuk keunggulan Persib.

Dua menit sebelum babak pertama berakhir, Persib kembali menambah keunggulan. Kali ini Marc Klok sukses mengirimkan bola ke Ciro di sisi kanan, sang penyerang masuk menusuk dan melepaskan bola ke gawang Barito dan menjadi gol. Skor berubah menjadi 3-0 untuk keunggulan Persib.

Meski unggul 3-0 tidak membuat Persib puas. Dua menit berselang giliran Nick Kuipers yang mencatatkan namanya di papan skor setelah sepak pojok Marc Klok diteruskan Rachmat Irianto dan kemudian disundul oleh Ciro. Skor 4-0 menutup jalannya pertandingan di babak pertama.

Babak Kedua

Tertinggal 4-0 di babak kedua tidak membuat Barito Patah arang. Anak asuh Vitor Tinoco itu langsung tancap gas sejak babak kedua dimulai.

Benar saja, di menit ke-56 Laskar Antasari berhasil mencetak gol pertama mereka di laga ini. Buyung Ismu berhasil mencatatkan namanya di papan skor setelah umpan silang Nazar Nurzaidin ditanduk sempurna dan masuk ke gawang Reky Rahayu. Skor berubah menjadi 4-1.

Gol Buyung ini membuat Barito kian bersemangat. Di menit60 Kahar Muzakkar berhasil menceploskan bola muntah hasil tembakan Mike Ott ke gawang Reky Rahayu. Skor berubah menjadi 4-2 berubah menjadi keunggulan Barito.

Sadar Barito mulai membangun momentum, Persib langsung bereaksi. Di menit 68 Henhen Herdiana melepaskan tembakan mendatar keras di sisi kanan dan bola masuk ke gawang Barito. Skor berubah menjadi 5-3.

Barito sebenarnya punya kesempatan emas untuk menambah keunggulan setelah Henhen Herdiana melakukan pelanggaran di kotak terlarang. Namun sayang Renan Silva yang ditunjuk sebagai algojo menendang bola terlalu keras sehingga bola melambung di atas mistar gawang Persib.

Jual beli serangan terus terjadi, namun skor 5-2 tidak berubah sehingga Persib Bandung berhasil mengamankan tiga poin di laga ini. Berkat tambahan poin itu Persib menempati peringkat delapan dengan raihan 16 poin sementara Barito Putera harus puas berada di peringkat 17 dengan raihan empat poin.

Di Tangan Erik Ten Hag, Manchester United Bereksperimen dengan Dua Taktik Baru

Kemenangan Manchester United atas Sheriff Tiraspol pada laga kedua Grup E Liga Europa 2022/2023 menyisakan banyak kekaguman. Salah satunya taktik baru yang diterapkan Erik Ten Hag di pertandingan tersebut.

Man United awalnya memulai laga dengan kekuatan penuh. Tidak ada yang menarik dari susunan sebelas pertamanya, pun soal pemilihan formasinya.

Namun di tengah pertandingan, Ten Hag mengubah taktik yang dipakainya. Perubahan tersebut menyasar pada perpindahan posisi Tyrell Malacia jadi bek kanan dan Jadon Sancho jadi penyerang tengah.

Hasilnya tidak buruk-buruk amat. Man United akhirnya menang 2-0 atas Sheriff di Stadion Zimbru, Moldova, Kamis (15/9/2022) malam WIB.

Penyerang Tengah

Jika melihat proses gol Sancho, ia tidak murni bergerak dari sisi sayap, tetapi di wilayah lapangan yang lebih ke tengah. Dalam beberapa kesempatan, Sancho juga jadi ujung tombak lini depan Man United.

"Kami punya satu contoh bagus di pertandingan. Saat Jadon [Sancho] mencoba mengkreasikan peluang kepada Bruno, dia bermain di posisi penyerang tengah," ujar Ten Hag dilansir dari Manchester Evening News.

"Kami mencetak gol yang saya rasa cukup bagus bersama Jadon. Jika kami terus melanjutkan kualitas ini dan kuantitasnya juga, maka kami sedang di jalur yang benar."

Bek Kanan

Ten Hag juga mengakui melakukan eksperimen lain di pertandingan ini, yakni dengan menempatkan Malacia di kanan dan Shaw di kiri. Hal ini disyukurinya dan berharap bisa dilakukan lagi di sisa musim.

"Kami melakukan beberapa eksperimen di pertandingan ini. Kami memainkan Tyrell [Malacia] di kanan dan Luke [Shaw] di kiri," katanya.

"Keputusan itu ternyata berjalan lancar. Setidaknya kami bisa mencoba itu lagi di musim ini."

Strategi Makin Lancar

Man United sempat merana dalam dua pertandingan awal dengan menderita dua kekalahan. Selepas itu, strategi yang coba dikembangkan Ten Hag berjalan lancar.

Man United belum pernah kalah lagi di Liga Inggris 2022/2023. Begitu pula dengan performa di Liga Europa, walaupun di laga perdana takluk 0-1 dari Real Sociedad hanya gara-gara penalti.

"Setelah sepuluh menit pertandingan berjalan, kami akhirnya menemukan bentuk formasi kami. Kami jadi lebih aman saat bertahan, saat memindahkan serangan, dan saat kami memiliki pergerakan dengan bola di area tengah, kami terus menjaga bola dengan baik," ujar Ten Hag mengakhiri.

Raphael Varane Ungkap Alasan Cristiano Ronaldo Tidak Jadi Starter di Skuat MU

Bek Manchester United, Raphael Varane buka-bukaan seputar kondisi Cristiano Ronaldo di skuat Manchester United. Ia menilai wajar sang penyerang tidak jadi starter karena ia dirasa belum fit.

Setelah digosipkan bakal pindah dari Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo akhirnya bertahan di Old Trafford. Ia tidak jadi angkat kaki dari Manchester United dan kini fokus membela MU.

Namun Ronaldo mendapatkan kenyataan pahit. Sejauh ini ia lebih banyak duduk manis di bangku cadangan MU ketimbang menjadi starter.

Varane menilai situasi yang dialami Ronaldo ini wajar dan tidak perlu dilebih-lebihkan. "Ya kita semua tahu Ronaldo bertahan bersama kami," buka Varane kepada TCL Global.

Tidak Ikut Pra Musim

Menurut Varane, wajar jika Erik Ten Hag memarkir Ronaldo. Karena Ronaldo tidak mengikuti pra musim MU.

Varane menyebut situasi ini membuat Ronaldo tertinggal dari rekan-rekan setimnya. Jadi wajar jika ia dicadangkan sang manajer.

"Kita semua tahu bahwa dia tidak mengikuti pra musim kami dan saya rasa sebagai pemain anda tidak boleh melewatkan pra musim, karena ini fondasi kami," ujar sang bek.

Perubahan Besar

Lebih lanjut, Varane menyebut pra musim MU kali ini krusial karena ada perbedaan besar dalam gaya bermain United. Jadi Ronaldo mau tidak mau harus mengejar ketertinggalan itu sebelum bisa menjadi starter.

"Ada perbedaan yang mendasar dengan cara bermain kami di musim ini. Kami tidak lagi memainkan gaya bermain yang sama seperti di musim lalu," terang Varane.

"Ada banyak tuntutan yang harus kami penuhi di gaya bermain kami, jadi ia harus banyak mempelajari permainan baru kami. Selain itu ia juga harus membuat tubuhnya lekas bugar," ia menambahkan.

Jadi Starter

Ronaldo sendiri kemungkinan besar akan menjadi starter pada pertandingan Manchester United pada nanti malam.

Ia akan memimpin lini serang MU saat mereka berhadapan dengan Sheriff Tiraspol.
